POSITION PURPOSE
To provide technical leadership in designing, developing, and implementing complex electrical systems. This role guarantees that all related tasks meet established standards and comply with all necessary requirements and safety procedures.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet all technical specifications, deadlines, and budget constraints.
- Design, develop, and analyse electrical systems, power distribution networks, and control circuits.
- Perform technical calculations, create detailed schematics, and generate comprehensive engineering documentation.
- Oversee the selection, procurement, and integration of electrical components and equipment.
- Implement and supervise electrical system testing procedures to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Stay abreast of the latest electrical engineering technologies and best practices advancements.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A master’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, with supplementary courses in other related engineering disciplines and appropriate technical qualifications with at least three (3) years’ proven work experience in a similar role, in a company of comparative size, having functioned in a senior decision-making role.

- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with supplementary courses in other related engineering disciplines and appropriate technical qualifications, and six (6-8) years of proven work experience in a similar role in a company of comparative size, having functioned in a senior decision-making role.
